Animal Kingdom News and Information

The highlight of our last Florida holiday was our visit to Animal Kingdom...can't wait to go again, I'm sure we have much more to see.

Animal kingdom is divided into six areas

The Oasis is very calm and tranquil, somewhere to go for a quiet stroll past cascading waterfalls. In this tropical setting you will find no rides or stores, but there are plenty of small animals to keep youngsters amused.

Discovery Island is where you will fing the famous 'tree of life'. Around the tree you will find the discovery island trail where you can see kangaroos...if you don't fancy that watch the 3d bugs life theatre show....although if you don't like bugs its probably not a good idea

Camp Minnie-Mickey is definately one for the kids.....bright colors and disney characters are everywhere. Take your pick of the shows with the lion king musical or pocahontas and friends. If you have young children they will love it.

Africa has many shops and restaurants where you can take a well earned break and relax. The buildings and foliage are beautiful and with the beating drums in the background you can sit back and forget where you are. I recommend the Kilimanjaro Safari...one of the highlights of our holiday!

Asia is the newest section at Animal kingdom here you can see bats and tigers while exploring the temples and ruins. If you want to stay dry don't try the rapids...they are great but we got a soaking.

Dinoland is again aimed at the kids...but we all had lots of fun digging for fossils. We went on the 'Dinosaur' ride to my daughters horror...her face was a picture

We had a wonderful time here.
