Tips for Animal Kingdom

Arrive early as the animals are best seen then before it gets too hot.

Check the Tips Board in Safari Village to get current wait times for rides.

If there is a line for Dinosaur, get a fast pass and then have lunch at Restaurantosaurus or visit the Bone Yard while you wait for your fast pass time to arrive.

Book a character breakfast at restaurantosaurus to get character autographs and pictures without having to wait in line. Adults are $14.95 and Children are $8.95.

Crowds are generally lower during the week and main holiday dates, Thanksgiving, easter sunday as crowds tend to go to Mk or epcot.

There is an entrance to Animal Kingdom via the back of The Rainforest Cafe and Gift Shop. Try it if main entrance is jammed with waiting visitors. You can enter Rainforest Cafe from outside the park as well as from the inside.

Pay attention to your maps "Photo Spots" - marked with a red dot. These are
really wonderful places to get some excellent photos.

When you see something you want, buy it on the spot - back tracking to get that dinosaur puppet you promised your child will be a pain. You can have packages sent to the front of the park for package pickup later in the day (Garden Gate Gifts) and purchases are available there after three hours.

If you want to see a few animals up close then go to the Animal Kingdom hotel, entry is free. Go about 4:00pm and walk through the hotel to the back. The hotel is built in a C shape and they put out feed for the non- aggressive animals. There is a raised area leading out from the hotel where you can watch this for free and there are guides on hand to answer any questions you may have.
